My sister runs Sims 2 with the Open for business expansion pack on her iMac G5 with 512mb ram. It has worked fine up until today when you open it and it goes through the Maxis loading screen and then it crashes. I have tried restarting it but it still has no change. Any ideas or should i just reinstall it, and if that is the case does anybody know how she can keep all the familes and houses etc.?

I had the same problem a while back. It's an issue with the audio drivers. It's pretty simple to fix. Open GarageBand, go to the Window menu and select musical typing. Play a few notes, then exit GarageBand. Now try opening the Sims 2. It should work again. Sounds crazy, but it worked for me.
