I would appreciate help from anyone who has some knowledge of the Sims on Mac, more than just playing it but also a knowledge of the files it is made up of.
I have all the Sims 2 Expansion Packs available for Mac, as well as all the Windows Versions. Since there are more for Windows than for Mac, I was wondering if the Windows files can be moved from a PC to a Mac. It may not sound possible, but the files seem to be very much alike for the existing Mac Expansion Packs installed.
On my Mac I have the following Eps: Nightlife, University, Open For Business, Pets, and Seasons. These all work. The Windows files are for the remaining EPs: Bon Voyage, FreeTime, and Apartment Life, as well as the stuff packs only available for Windows.
Since the files for the Mac are just Windows files with some conversion files so it runs on Mac, it would make sense that I could do this. But even with the files all dragged over to my Mac, the game plays okay but doesn't register the new expansion packs.
If anyone has any ideas (Not involving adding a Windows Partition to my Mac) I would greatly appreciate the help. Thank you.
