Sims 3 pre-order on Amazon?

Looking to get the Sims 3 for my sister as a gift.

She has a mac and I want to make sure I pre-order the right version.

This link on amazon says this version will work with both PC and Mac... Is that right? Both versions in 1 box?

Yes EA is now including both the mac version and the pc of version in the same box. Unlike the sims 2 which had a 3rd party make and sell the game.

Beware though, the Mac version will likely not be a native version, but instead will be a very quick port using some third party software. You will undoubtedly get much better performance from the game if you install and play it using Windows.

Well the Mac version will be Intel only anyway, so if she has an Intel Mac then she could install it using Boot Camp.
