Simultaneous Band Network

So I just received my 5th gen Airport Extreme (excited), and I have several 802.11n devices, and a few other 802.11g/b electronics. One of the reasons I bought the AEBS is for the simultaneous dual band setup. Suppose I wanted to set 802.11n devices to the 5ghz band only, and any older devices to the 2.4ghz band. Can I put these two bands on the same network (same SSID, password, etc.) or do I need separate networks for each? (since I know the AEBS can do that too.)
