There have been numerous times I've wished you could have media playback while also using the mic and it it's just not possible. Somewhere here a while back we discussed it in a thread and many thought it was a hardware limitation.

So yesterday Siri was responding and I interrupted the feedback to ask something else and she (it, whatever) was talking still and also listening at the same time. The result accurately interpreted everything she said.

Why do you think most all phones don't allow this feature? Say you want music playing while recording a video, for example (albeit LQ, but still), or want to record something that's playing for reference or a note, et cetera. I doubt it's anything to do with copyright because not only are there apps that can overly music from your phone, but in terms of hardware functionality, Apple doesn't care about copyright issues as that could never fall back on them.
