It has been explained that Verizon iPhone 5 cannot handle simultaneous voice & data while using CDMA Network.

What's going to happen if someone uses it in Europe with a LTE compatible nano-sim (for instance from EE in the UK). Or with a DC-HSPA network in the rest of Europe ?

Are we going to have simultaneous calls & data then ?

Apple has stated that the iPhone 5 doesn't allow for simultaneous voice and LTE data on its CDMA phones.

Correct me if I'm wrong : switching to a GSM network in Europe with a Verizon iPhone 5 should enable simultaneous voice & data on this particular GSM network ?

Well yeah, it wouldn't be using the CDMA tech that imposes that limit anymore.

Different systems. You can't place a gsm chip into a cdma phone, and vice versa. Unless the Verizon's CDMA iPhone can simulate GSM frequencies in Europe, but I can't see how this is possible.

...it's a world phone. Unlocked GSM. Even the 4S had worldwide GSM.

Only a few carrier offer simultaneous voice and data over LTE (AT&T not being one).

For GSM carriers they drop you to 3G for voice calls while using data. Voice over LTE will change that.

Sorry but you are mistaken, the verizon phones are SIM unlocked and can be used with and compatible 3G network.
