I am wondering, if there is a way for me to play music from my iTunes library on one computer from one end of my house, while simultaneously streaming it to a satellite computer on the other side of my house.

In what I've tried so far, I've made the iTunes library from my primary computer available to my satellite computer via Home Sharing, but this does not seem to allow me to play the music simultaneously, each computer in sync with the other. It only allows access to the same library.

I've also tried a screen-sharing program, but that does not transmit audio.

The goal is to control the music from one computer and to transmit it from both and have it be in sync.

I am aware of the product AirPort Express, which allows you to plug speakers into a router that can be controlled by a primary computer, but I'm wondering, if there's an alternative option that does not cost $100.

Any help would be much-appreciated. Thanks.
