Since iOS 16.2 apple car play won’t stay connected…

I have to constantly forget my device “my radio” otherwise my radio says no response and won’t load car play…

Haven’t seen that either on wired or wireless CarPlay. I have two cars that both support CarPlay.

Two vehicles using Carplay2Air adapters, one 13PM and one 14PM, both on 16.2, no disconnect issues.

Often it’s a firmware update of the radio or adapter that gets rid of this behavior. Is it factory wireless CarPlay, or a plug-in adapter, or an aftermarket head unit? Check with the manufacturer to see if they have an update.

Aftermarket Pioneer which has not had an update released since 2020.
