According to a news report by a Local/Asia news broadcaster, iPhone will be released in Singapore in September 2008.

How true is this anyone knows? Since Apple has not mentioned anything.

Singapore is a place where most users use 3G mobiles.
Does this indicate that we will be able to see the 3G set coming in 2008, in time for the launch in Singapore?

i agree with yoyo...
From what i see, Japan has a much bigger Mobilephone market than Singapore...

I was surprise to hear the news about iPhone being launched in Singapore before announcement of iPhone being launched in Japan or China.

But i checked with local Apple staffs and they have not heard any news from within Apple that iPhone would be coming to Singapore...

My guess is many people would be happy to see that iPhone is coming to Singapore be it iPhone or 3G iPhone....(But not the unlicensed importers)

For me, i would definitely be looking forward to the 3G iPhone if does launch by then...
my current iPhone would then be downgraded to be a :apple:iPod Touch.
