Single card (contact) Address Book restore using Time Machine?

I was missing some information in Address Book, so I went back in Time Machine with the Address Book as the active window, found the missing information, selected only that card and clicked on restore. I ended up with several duplicated cards with old and new information, not just the card I selected. Is this normal behavior of TM, in that it'll add all the cards with old data from that date to present, not just the highlighted card?
