I've never been able to get the Home app to work properly. I have several iDevices products and they are configured correctly on my iPhone. When I run the Home app on my phone, I can quickly click the icons to turn lights on and off.

When I installed Mojave, I was happy to use the Home app on my Mac. But clicking the icons didn't always toggle the state of the accessory. Sometimes, it worked, but typically clicking the accessory once caused "Show Controls" to open for that accessory. I reproduced this across many macs with a variety of input devices.

Now under Catalina, this is much worse. Clicking an accessory always causes "Show Controls" to open. According to this Apple Support Document, *single clicking* an accessory icon SHOULD cause the accessory to turn on/off. *Double clicking* an accessory should cause "Show Controls" to open for that accessory.

In my experience, the app has never worked this way. I even filed a Radar that is still open with no followup. Has anybody experienced this? Is there a solution?

For the curious, the solution to this problem is to split the devices in iDevices app. This is because the geniuses at iDevices made the primary switch and nightlight in each device individual Home devices.
