What program do I need in order to rip separate episodes from a DVD of lets say Alias. I was able to get the first show from the DVD but not able to get the others.

Right now I am working on episodes of Friends. Use Title-Chapter Extraction in Mac the Ripper.
Each episode is in its own title on the DVDs (Friends is anyway). The layout will vary depending on the maker, it could be separated by title, chapter or even both. Either way, you need to use the Title-Chapter extraction because the VOB files will likely not split by episode. At least that will give you the entire episode in one VOB file. Then use iSquint or Handbrake from there.
