ny somewhere
yeah, i spelled that the way i meant it.

my mac is at 10.7.2, and i setup the cloud, tried it out. nice, but not essential for me (YET).

however, my iPhone (at 4.3.1) is NOT happy. i could NOT get it to sync as usual thru usb...UNTIL i disabled the cloud.

in the process, lost my ical entries (copied over from my phone, but everything older than 30 days is NOT in my ical).

YES i have a backup, will keep it (in case i ever need to refer to an older entry).

but a mess. i understand it, but there should be some warning: you MUST update your phone to ios5 or something...

There is a warning on the iCloud setup screen
You had to check a box saying all of your devices you were planning to sync were updated to iOS 5 as I recall
