I want to do the following:
Have my iPhone connected through my wifi to the Internet and run on it a (SIP) server program that would allow me to connect to it from any Internet location using my other Android phone (or a desktop computer) which would be running a client program in order to make phone calls from my IPhone.
The server program would accept connections from the android phone or desktop computer (through the router), make calls in their behalf and route the sound (the voice of the other person that would otherwise be heard in the iPhone's speakers) from the iPhone to the client device and receive audio from the client device's microphone (what I would be talking) and route it into the conversation for the other person to hear.
Is there such a pair of applications (server and client) that is capable of doing this?
I mention that there would be no external SIP or VOIP service providers involved. I just want to be able to make remote calls from a remote location through my iPhone at home, just like I would be holding it in my hands.
