Siri accent variation

Hi,

I'm on a JB'd i5 with no Siri enhancements installed. I'm getting this weird issue with Siri where the accent ONLY when reading incoming messages/e-mails will always be British English. If I change the Siri accent setting to something else, it only effects when I manually call Siri by hitting the home button, it doesn't change the e-mail/message reading accent.

Is there some specific setting for this?
