I'm in the Manchester, UK area running iOS 7 beta 6; when I ask siri what movies are playing nearby it can't find any. My girlfriends phone running iOS 6 works correctly, so it seems like an IOS 7 issue. Is anyone else experiencing this either local to me or anywhere else? Or does anyone know of a fix?

Yes, I know it's a beta . I am trying to establish if it is an issue with the beta, or merely specific to my installation or locality!

Thank you to everyone else for your replies. Looks like it's a beta issue after all. I could have sworn it was working when I first installed it though. Maybe they've cut access to the backend database for IOS 7.

99.99999999999% chance it's because it's a beta..

i'm in the US and yesterday I had the same issue. Just tried it and it only found 2 movies that were about 15 miles away. I have 30 theaters (screens) within 2.5 miles. However it has worked before last beta 6 release

Thanks, I thought it had worked previously must have been a change between betas 5 and 6 then.

Interestingly if you ask Siri, "What films are playing today?" it does work. Siri will (for me at least) say they are a bit far from **** but they are in fact locally playing movies, just a few miles away.

The fault seems to lie in what Siri regards as being close to you. Here at least Siri regards anything more than a few miles away as being not local an, when you ask "are there any films playing nearby?" Siri returns no results. Siri also parses "are there any films playing?" as meaning nearby and again returns no results. However asking 'What films are playing today?" seems to bypass the requirement for them being near to you and so will return results.

Maybe irrelevant but in beta-7, the default is for Siri to not have access to Location Services.
Of course she should then prompt you to give her access.

Well it's not working for me on iOS 6. So BETA is a lame excuse at this point. It also won't open any of my apps. It keeps telling me that the apps are not installed. Of course they are installed though.

Thanks I checked that though and Siri definitely can use location services. I even cycled the setting but that made no difference.
