I’m new to Apple Watch. I have an Apple Watch 3 LTE.
So if I envoke Siri by holding down the crown and say for instance, "Play XYZ", it will only play XYZ to my iPhone and not the watch??? Is this correct?
Even if I have a synced playlist with XYZ on it?
Edit: I do not have Apple Music

Mine will only play to my airpods. the watch won't play on the watch speaker.

I have AirPods too. But when I envoke Siri to play a song it will only play to my iPhone and not to my watch/AirPods.
What am I doing wrong?

When the watch is connected to the phone i guess it will play from the phone to conserve watch battery.

I have this problem too, also if i turn off the iPhone and have the Watch connected to a Bluetooth speaker, it plays music fine, however if I try to invoke Siri to play a song or playlist, it comes up with “no audio devices connected” or something to that effect.

Not sure how this is suppose to work but it’s crap in its current form!

Correct and hence why you can’t play music through its speaker. You can stream music from it to Bluetooth speakers and headphones, hence the reason why there is an LTE version. What we are saying is Siri is an advertised way of calling up new music and calling up playlist etc. we are saying this is not working whilst it’s either connected to AirPods, Bluetooth headphones and Bluetooth speakers. It’s a software bug and it’s very annoying

Exactly!
I'm not talking about playing to the watch speaker or streaming. I am taking about invoking Siri to play a specific song that has been downloaded to the watch into the first place, to AirPods . I can do it manually, just not with Siri.
