Good morning.
At 6:00am this morning I was woken up by music blasting from my paired homepods.
My phone didn’t show that it was the source of the music so I had to yell out for Siri to pause music.
I checked the Clock / Alarm app and have no active alarms set for 6:00am and especially don’t have any set that would play music.
I do have a weekday alarm set for 6:30am but again that also does not have music.
I went into Control Center and clicked on my Home Favorites and Paired HomePod toggle.
I attached a screenshot of what was shown.
There was a song I added to my Apple Music library about a couple weeks ago.
Underneath it was an alarm that I never created to wake me up every weekday at 6:00am.
It was labeled as “New”.
Initially it was toggled on but I turned it off.
Any idea on how this could have happened?
Is Siri just loudly suggesting when I should wake up now?
Because it achieved it’s goal in waking me up 30 minutes early for work.
I checked the Bedtime Wake up alarm section of the Clock app and nothing was toggled to wake me up there either.
I don‘t use shortcuts and don’t think it’s possible to set music to wake you up with in Apple Music.
Any explanations for this would be helpful so that I‘m not jolted awake by another song. Thankfully this song is pretty mellow.
