Siri doesn't automatically process a request when I activate it from the menu bar

This has been an issue for a bit now...If I activate Siri from the menu bar, even after I stop talking, it won't automatically process my request unless I click the circle Siri icon at the top right corner of my screen.

After I'm done speaking the circle keeps moving as if I'm still talking, then comes to rest and nothing happens.

If I activate Siri from my keyboard, this isn't an issue.

Any ideas?
