Siri doesn't correct.

Hello.
I'm having a little problem with Siri. When she doesn't understand me right I get the word underlined with a blue line and when I tap on it it shows me suggestions, but the problem is that whatever I choose doesn't do anything, it doesn't replace the word or anything. Is that normal?

I know this doesn't help you but why not just text? Isn't it slower using Siri to text people and then look and make sure its correct?

Actually I do text without her, I just want Siri to understand me properly.
