A vanity phone number is basically a phone number that you can remember by pressing numbers that correspond to given letters. For example, 1-800-692-7753 is a vanity number - you probably know it as 1-800-MY-APPLE.

I find that if I tell Siri to "call (vanity number)," she will understand only part, if any, of that request. For example, if I say "call 1-800-FREE-411," she will call 1800.

Not exactly the same, but I discovered she doesn't do well with anything other than alphanumeric contact info names.

For instance, I have Tom Jones in his contact card as Tom Jones#. Today I asked Siri to take me to Tom jones house. She kept telling me she doesn't know who Tom jones is. Strangley though when I asked her to display his contact info, she did that no problem. It was after that I realized I had the emoji next to his name.
