So both my iPhone SE and a family member's iPhone SE (both only 6 months old with 99% battery) last night drained almost 50% after we both received one of those Amber alert's with the loud alarm. I checked the battery app this morning and it shows Siri running all night tanking the battery on both phones. I've had this happen once before after a night of loud tornado alerts but it seemed to stop draining the battery after I toggled siri on and off.
Well I charged mine this morning and Siri it seems is still eating tons of battery life. I can disable Siri (I normally keep Hey Siri disabled anyway and just use the home button press) but I'd rather a better solution as this isn't normal. I tried rebooting but it seems like Siri is still chomping away at the battery when not in use and its happening to two different iPhone SE's both with perfect batteries.
Any of you folks have an idea how to stop siri from running rampant on our batteries without disabling it completely? (again Hey Siri is already off)
