Does anybody here use the Siri Watch Face? Has anybody been trying it out on watchOS 5?

I've never really tried it consistently (switching to it now and gonna try for a day or 2), but it seems like it's the only face Apple is putting any effort into right now. I think it totally makes sense that dynamically updating watch faces will indeed will be the future, but I can't help but think that the current Siri face implementation is more a "Beta" of the future and doesn't quite nail it. At minimum, I would love to be able to remove and replace the siri complication. We can already activate with voice and the press of the crown, seems a bit redundant and unnecessary....

Yep used it since day one. Wouldn’t use anything else.

I use it on my series 1. Makes the watch a little more interesting, although I heard it really impacts the battery on the original watch.

I'm curious, do you guys keep a lot of appointments in your calendar? What specific use do you get out of it?

For example, I do happen to have an appointment this evening (which is extremely rare for me), but aside from that it shows sunset (mildly interesting, but not something I'll wanna look at with every raise of my wrist). Then if I scroll I can see an NPR headline (much less interested, especially because it crops so much of the headline and I really don't want to read a whole news article on my wrist), then activity (good, but normally that's one of my default complications), apple stock (don't care in the slightest), breathe app (I've used this from time to time, but don't think I really need it here), and a random photo (could be nice to see random pics). And to see weather is relatively easy to just scroll a little in the opposite direction (but again this is normally the big default complication, so this is less convenient).

I think it's certainly the most interesting of the watch faces, but if it provides reduced utility that's really the key...

I switch watch faces every once in a while. I'm just saying the Siri face is one that I keep swapping to.

You can replace the Siri complication by customizing the watch face in the Watch app on your phone or by doing a force touch on the watch face and selecting "Customize" on your Watch (at least in WatchOS 4).

You CAN remove the Siri complication on the Siri watch face.

You might want to wait until WatchOS 5 before trying it again. It gains A LOT of functionality by incorporating third party apps, etc. WatchOS 4 Siri watch face may be underwhelming for you.

Thanks! I dunno why I had assumed you couldn't. Obviously I haven't tried it much :p

Yep WatchOS 5 makes a good few changes. And also grabs data from Home which I like (for HomeKit). Great for my calendar appointments...work for myself so use calendars all the time.

One useful feature for me who’s living in country that have lots of rain is it’ll warn me in advance when it’s gonna rain.

I don't have many appointments or reminders so it shows me stocks (I really don't care about that), weather forecast and sometimes it shows pictures of my library. Now is telling me the sunset time, veeeery interesting, and is reminding me to breathe for 1 minute. Ooook :)
I think they'll continue to invest in the Siri face and for some people it is the best choice. If you have a lot of stuff in calendar and are interested in the forecast that's fine, I only check those info before leaving home so I don't need them to be on my wrist all the time.
I use the modular face, so I can see the time, my activity goals and I have some links to the apps I use the most.

No worries, just wanted to make sure you knew it was possible!

There are so many options, with the watch and phone, it’s hard to keep track.

Have a good day!
