Siri Hands Free Control Question

I just installed the Siri Hands Free Control tweak on my iPhone 4S and I have a few questions.

1. When I unlock/lock my phone, the noises it makes when doing those actions sound different, almost muffled. Is this supposed to happen? Or is this all in my head?

2. How greatly does it affect battery life?

I also just installed Siri Hands Free also and can confirm that the sounds are definitely different when locking/unlocking the phone. It's not just you

Good, I thought I was going crazy there for a minute!

Does anyone know why it's doing this? Is there a fix?

Edit: It looks like it only does this when it's in listening mode. If the tweak is turned off the sound goes back to normal.
