Not sure if anyone has also experienced this, because I personally thought it was NUTS that her voice is different. But on my first iphone 5 her voice was the normal siri voice that I'm used to and love, but on this replacement her voice sounds more robotic and slower. Any idea how to get rid of this? I tried googling for different siri voices but all the results were about people wanting different voices for their siri. Any help is appreciated.

Perhaps she is getting tired? ;)

By robotic and slower, would you also say it sounds muffled or nasally? That happened to me once or twice in the past on a fresh install or restore? Were you plugged into charger when you installed or restored? I've noticed that if you do a restore on battery power it seems to download the lower quality voice from Apple's servers. Throw it on a charger and let it sit for a while (on Wifi of course) and it should download the normal Siri voice when it does your next iCloud backup.

On mine Siri has a female voice for the normal interface but a male voice for the sat nav?

Siri doesn't download when you backup to iCloud, and restoring on battery or ac power doesn't cause you to get a different build of ios when you download the software...

Prove it. And I didn't say anything about downloading iOS. I said this Siri voice file.

Check the accessibility settings. I believe there is a setting there to change the speed at which Siri speaks.

This is it! Thanks so much!

For anyone else, more specific instructions: settings, general, accessibility, VoiceOver, speaking rate

You don't have to turn VoiceOver "on" by the way.

Thanks again!

This did nothing for me. Same nasally sound. It does sound slower than my 4s which is why I was hopeful this would work. I moved the speaking rate slider to faster, even all the way to the right and no change. Is there something I need to do to make the faster setting stick? Thanks

Here are my settings, make yours like mine and try it.

Ok. Beyond the scuffs, yellow tinted screens, etc. this is by far the most OCD claim I've ever read here.

Well it turned out to be an actual change in voice so I wasn't imagining it, and I think having the right Siri voice is bout as much of a preference as having the right background or the right icon/folder layout.
