SIRI Icon missing messages app

I noticed that the SIRI icon is no longer included when composing a message. Is this true for everyone?

If so not sure why they would remove that. It is much easier then having to hold down the home button.
 
Ok I am an idiot. I had turned SIRI off, but I did not realize it as the setting switch doesn't give me help and is a bit confusing.
