Having just updated my other halfs iPhone 4S, siri seems to have gone a bit weird.

When speaking he now sounds extremely distorted (uk so male voice), and when asked a question takes an extremely long time to respond and then says he's not taking requests.

The issue wasn't there before we updated, so I've gone a bit of googling and done the following:

Turned siri off, rebooted the phone and turned him on again.

Reset network settings

Turned iCloud backup off and on again.

Short of resetting the phone, is there anything else I can try to remedy this?

Also, if I do reset the phone and backup from an iTunes / iCloud backup, will that not essentially put me back to square one or is it worth trying?

It's been a while since I've had to troubleshoot especially on ios.

Ran the same update on my iPad and its been faultless. Siri works perfectly.

Any help much appreciated. :)
