Siri Last Names

Until recently I would ask Siri to call my daughter using just her first name. Now when I ask, I am presented with a list of people to pick from. The other people besides my daughter have last names the same as her first name.

Can I tell Siri to only use first name when searching my contacts for calling?

That's kinda dumb if Siri doesn't default to a matching first name first vs including others with the same last name. What if you add a "nickname" for your daughter which is just the same as her first name ?

If she is your only daughter I would edit the contact and specify her as your daughter then you just ask Siri to call "my daughter"

You don't even have to edit the contact to do this.

If you ask Siri to call your daughter without having already specified a name, Siri will then ask you who is the contact for your daughter.
