Siri no longer announces full caller phone number

Siri no longer announces full phone number of callers. Only announces area code of callers except for those in your contact list. People in contact list will be announced by name. This is very dangerous as I cannot pick up my phone and read the screen while driving to see the phone number of a caller who is not in my contact list. Siri always provided since approx IOS 11, the entire phone number of callers. Now Siri only says call from XXX area code and nothing else. This is virtually worthless. I cant be driving and have to look at my phone screen to see calling number when it is so much easier and safer while driving to hear the call announced by SIRI in full. Apple says they are aware of it but do not know when or if this will ever be corrected? Thats not a good response. I dont know when or if I will ever buy my next iPhone. The voice response system on Pixel and Android phones provides full area code and number if you have it turned on, but Apple iPhones no longer do.
