I bought an Ultra 2 last week and absolutely love it. Never imagined upgrading from my S4 small size to the Ultra but I love the flat face display and the battery life. But Siri is non responsive. I'm on WiFi, latest OS, restarted the Watch, but the raise to talk directly to Siri works maybe 1/5 of the time. Sometimes it brings up the siri icon and starts listening and then just gets stuck. Just now it got stuck and the watch face shows an orange microphone icon at the top that won't go away. I've tried turning off raise to talk, etc. and then turning back on as well.

I think maybe my unit is defective, but wanted to see how others are doing with raising the Watch and just talking to Siri. All I'm trying to do is set a timer. Is yours very responsive?

I have similar consistency with my ultra 2. Also upgraded from an S4.

Raise to talk seemed to work MUCH more reliably on my S4.

That is the most frustrating thing about the upgrade. It HAS to be software though. No way this watch is worse with that motion/functionality.

Grr. Yeah it doesn't make any sense, it seems faulty to me and if it's hardware I'd like to exchange it. I guess I'll be on the look out for any more opinions and then decide.

No issue here, works every time.
Is your U2 really awake when you raise it? Eg see the seconds hand on an analog watch face?

Glad I have seen this thread. On my Apple Watch ultra one, raise to speak worked 100% of the time. On my ultra 2 it is barely 20% of the time. Absolutely awful. And as said above, I also end up using the digital crown to invoke Siri.

I get the best results when I literally touch the back of my hand to my cheek.
I was having issues also but this tip works everytime, thanks.
Watch is on left wrist and I touch my knuckle to right cheek and is flawless.

Not just an Ultra 2 thing and it is so inconsistent and always has been that I automatically just push the Crown or say "Siri".

Do you find the Ultra 2 processing Siri requests as fast as an iPhone does? I was curious as Siri on my current SE is so slow that I rarely use it.

Much quicker for me on my Ultra 2 than previous watches but still not as quick as on my phone.

My SBTi series 7 would have long pauses fter asking Siri to do something. My Ultra 2 has no such display. It does not make Siri smarter but she is faster.
