Asking for a relative...

PROBLEM: Remote dropped into sugary beverage, now inoperable.

ACTION: Briefly soaked and sloshed in distilled water, allowing to dry.

FURTHER SUGGESTIONS?
• Would soaking in isopropyl alcohol be helpful?
-- What percentage?
-- How long?

One of the big issues is that the battery for the Siri Remote isn't (easily) user removable/replaceable.

Thanks.

The biggest issue, good chance the board is fried.

You can try soaking it on isopropyl. I would use 90%+, the highest you can find. For 15 minutes sloshing it around. Then let it dry on damp rid or in rice.

Thanks. Occasionally sloshed while it was submerged in 90% isopropyl alcohol for 15 minutes, then allowed to dry on a paper towel, open air for about 18 hours. Functions fine again.
