Siri/Shazam not work for iPhone 5?

After countless attempts for siri to tell me what song I am playing on iOS 8... nothing... just keeps saying I didnt catch that... etc...

Same here on iPhone 5s. She tells me that there is no song playing, or tells me the name of the track I was playing last in Music (the track is paused).

It's probably no longer a feature, cause there is not a single reference anymore at apple.com.

You need to have Shazam installed i think.

I have and get this working somewhat now. Didn't work before I installed it though. Sometimes it hangs and tells me Im listening to the previous song I shazamed though. Even prompts if I wanna open it in Rdio.

Edit: Okay Im an idiot. I tested this playing tunes from Rdio on my mac. Rdio was also active on my iPhone, and knew what my mac was playing, and so my phone would identify the track.
Tested using a regular radio station and nothing...

None of those work, Siri still says that I'm not listening to anything. Also Those are not for what were talking about.

Those are the correct commands that were in the beta to use it - it looks like Apple says it will be back and working before the public release next week.

Known Issue
Shazam with Siri and Purchase iTunes Content with Siri are not functional in the GM seed. They will be available once iOS 8 is released to the general public.


so either fixed server side or a newer build then the GM.
