My wife's iPhone 6S Plus surprised us quite a bit today. Siri suddenly started speaking English with a typical Russian accent. This really looked as though the iPhone was hacked. I pulled up Settings > General > Siri, and saw that Language was set to English (United States), but the Siri Voice setting was missing altogether. So, instead of four parameters in that section: Language, Siri Voice, Voice Feedback, and My Info, there were only three: Language, Voice Feedback, and My Info.

It took me a while to figure out how to get rid of this ridiculous (and hilarious) Russian accent. Finally, I chose a different setting for Language, and then the Siri Voice field showed up. Then, I returned the Language field back to English (Unitied States), and Siri started sounding normal again. Once Siri was back to standard American English, there was no way to bring back the Russian accent.

------------
I've tried googling this issue, but the only thing I can find is the AnyVoice app that adds foreign accents to Siri, but that is supposedly a jailbroken app. Last time I jailbroke my wife's phone was several years ago, when she still had an iPhone 5s (or maybe even 4s). Her current phone is iPhone 6s Plus.

I do not recall ever downloading the AnyVoice app when my wife's iPhone was jailbroken. It's possible I do not remember that I had installed that app, but I am 99% sure I never installed it on her old iPhone. I'm under the impression that until today, I have never even heard of the AnyVoice app. Even if I had installed the AnyVoice app years ago on her jailbroken phone, and the settings somehow carried over with the backup and restore to iPhone 6s, why would Siri suddenly start speaking English with a Russian accent TODAY?

So, both my wife and I are completely baffled as to why Siri would suddenly start speaking English with a thick Russian accent. By the way, my wife's iPhone has the Russian keyboard installed, so there's a connection to Russia on her iPhone.

This can't be a random coincidence that the phone has the Russian keyboard installed, and Siri suddenly starts speaking with a thick Russian accent. Easter is just around the corner, so I wonder if some Apple software engineer decided to pull a practical joke and put an "easter egg' in iOS. Even though it was funny, the whole thing really scared the heck out of both of us.

The iOS version running on her phone is 9.2.

Please let me know if you have any idea as to how this is even possible.
