I seen someone reference this article http://www.sirisource.com/2011/10/08/jobs/ and it made me wonder, is this what Siri actualy does? I know during the keynote they talked about it growing with you but I'm curious what the limit of this is. Is there any links with a plethora of info about Siri?

Awesome read, thank you for that.

So Siri will only be on the 4S? My wife will still have a 4 we leap frog our upgrades. Wondering if Siri will come with iOS 5.

The iOS 5 gold master release for devs, which should be the same as the official Oct 12 release, does not have Siri included for any device. So 4S only (for now).

Siri is the main reason in Apple's eyes for people to upgrade so they certainly won't have it on the 4.

I see. My other question is what makes Siri better over time, they said the more you use it the better it gets. I can't find that info anywhere.

Hm, don't know about that. Siri will improve with more languages and more services from Apple's end. I'm sure they'll also take the voice data and try to improve Siri's responses. I'm not sure if Siri will learn from us beyond nicknames for our contacts (example: Molly is my wife).

yep

it is a beta afterall so it will only improve.

Siri will learn for your use of the language as well.

Siri will also learn nouns, and may learn verbs.

If you routinely say "tell mom I say hi" the first time you will need to identify who mom is as well as whether you want to send text or email. The next time, she will know what to do..

I'd love to come back to this topic a year from now and see just how much people are actually using (or not) Siri. I just don't see it getting beyond 'geek'.

I think alot will use it for calenders and reminders and when they want to listen to music for example...i would use that alot.

I think Siri will have to Learn or voices, if it interprets a word incorrectly we should be able to type in what was actually said then Siri will remember this for next time.

After all here's an example, People from Liverpool speak totally different from People from London so I'd imagine Siri will have to learn our own unique way of talking.

I'll use it mostly at home or in the office when I want to schedule something, but I don't see myself talking to my phone out in public.

I seem to remember the same quote about FaceTime. "Oh people won't use video on a phone. Who wants to see your nostrils etc..." So much for that.
