Are you trying to call locally or internationally? Did you enable International Assist in Settings->Phone if the latter?

Are you trying to call locally or internationally? Did you enable International Assist in Settings->Phone if the latter?

Hi I am also based within Zambia using a Zambian simcard, and no matter what I do I cannot seem to get Siri to successfully call a local number from my contacts list.

If I try to call a local number (10 digits) which could be in the format of:

- 095 XXXXXXX (cellular)
- 096 XXXXXXX (cellular)
- 097 XXXXXXX (cellular)

- 021 X XXXXXX (landlines)

Siri fails. Also if I try to append in front the international Zambian dialling code of +26 or 0026 followed by the number it also fails.

I am able to for example call out internationally to various numbers I tested in the UK & USA.

Somebody mentioned going to Settings->General->International and inputting Zambia as my region. However, Zambia is not listed. If this is the problem, is there any way to spoof /trick Siri into using the above number format?

Very frustrated, please help??

Paolo
