Since tvOS 18 was released the Sirius app will play normally at first, then stop after 5 minutes. It requires rebooting the app and then it’ll work again for about 5 minutes before having the same issue. Restarting the ATV doesn’t fix it.

Anyone else? I’m using a 2nd gen 4K.

I am also having the same issue.

EDIT: it’s the old version of the app that’s having the problem. Upgrading to the new app seems to fix the problem. It seems the old app’s days are numbered.

Good lord, thank you. How do they not inform us of this? Like HBO Max firmly directed you to download Max and even signed in for you.

Sirius did the sign in automatically so I appreciate that. Just seems needlessly confusing for customers.

I am having the same issue. Do not see how to get latest update another poster alluded to.
If you go to the tvOS App Store and find the Sirius app I think there should be an update button to press.

Just go to the App Store and search for “SiriusXM.” There is no automatic update of the old app; you need to download the new app separately. Once the new app is running fine, you can delete the old app.

Figured how to force download & install of newest SiriusXM app onto AppleTV set-box. Simply force the deletion of the current, old SiriusXM app from your AppleTV box by selecting it & long pressing the remote’s select button. Then go to the AppleTV’s AppStore app & search for the latest SirusXM app (the newest one when I did this was timestamped December 19? (or thereabouts), 2024. Select it and download & auto install it like you do any other app onto your AppleTV set-box.

Thank

My thanks to the other posters that kindly told me how to update to the latest SiriusXM app to fix this problem. I was so busy trying to find out the answer myself that I missed your helpful posts until just now.
