I updated my devices to iOS 8 and noticed that the SiriusXM app was missing. It is still on my old iPhone 4s which I haven't upgraded. When I looked on my Mac, it wasn't in iTunes anymore. When I looked in my Time Machine backups, it wasn't anywhere to be found back to 2013! When I search for it in the iTMS or click on the app store link on SiriusXM.com, I get a message that the item isn't available on the US store.
So #1, the app has obviously been pulled from the iTMS. Anyone know why???
#2, and this is more disturbing, why don't I have any record of the app on my computer or backups. For example, I have about 10 ipa files for 1password for all the versions. They never go away. What happened to all the various SiriusXM ipa versions? Does Apple have a kill switch which can revoke apps? How could such a thing remove items from my backups? I remember a lot of discussion about 'kill switches' a few years ago but don't remember what the final verdicts were on such practices. Any bright ideas out there???
