Hi Macrumors community

URL: http://www.temple-effectives.com (click on the turntable and the menu pops up)

This is a clothing company site that belongs to my friend. The designer who created this site no longer updates it. We want to update the music with newer songs. I have Macromedia MX Studio on my Powerbook.

I would like some direction on how I would go about editing the flash file with new mp3 songs.

I'm working on OSX 10.3.8 and I'm using Safari and Mozilla Firefox.

Thanks ahead of time.

I will email my friend to get the fla file from his web designer. Once I have it, I will reply to this thread. Will I be able to find it on the site's server (ftp) or do I have to get it from the guy who designed the site?

Thanks Tim.

You will probably have to get it from the developer, as the original .fla file is never actually used on a website. The website file is a Flash Player file (.swf) that is exported from the .fla file to play through a web browser. The .swf file is not editable, that is why you will need the original file in order to make any changes.

Thanks for the help guys. I am waiting for a reply for the fla file.
Which books did you guys read for learning Flash?

all books on this subject are mildly mediocre...
i liked, the most, friends of ed's book series, or really
the manual that comes with it is pretty good...

for this the internal help files will probably work,
all you should need to do is change some type
in a symbol and the actual mp3 file.
