Just put my new Wordpress site live as a replacement for an iWeb site. Designed to promote the sailing club in the local area, communicate with current members and provide all the information people may need for visiting.

www.trimpleysailingclub.co.uk

A few notes:
It doesn't validate because I've used a few non-standard features
It won't look the same in all browsers
I'm thinking of changing the font to luicda grande
I'd like to stylise the sidebar a little more, probably changing fonts
I'd like to have some more CSS effects (i.e more shiny), but got a lot of other features to add first

Any comments you have, I'm sure will be helpful.

Thanks in advance

top image has no drop shadows, bottom image has a shadow. also, i think the top image would look better if it was resized and stretched to fit the entire content box from left to right.

Thanks for your insight. I'll definitely try resizing it as you suggest.

With regards to the drop shadow, this is what I alluded to when I said the site will look different across browsers. The top image actually has a reflection set on it (hence the space underneath), which I think works really well with the water. Unfortunately it's only supported by webkit browsers atm. I might have a look to see if there is a more universal option for it.

Thanks again for having a look.
