Site keyword search

Guys - does Safari have any in-built functionality to search websites or do I still need something like Omnikey or SafariKeywordSearch. Basically, if I enter 'am hammer' in address bar, I would like it to take me directly to amazon and search results for hammer should be shown. Or if I do 'eb water ballons' it should show be eBay results directly. Obviously I'll preconfigure these shortcuts. I used to use it in Google chrome

if an extension must be used, please recommend one

Safari has a similar feature, but you need to type the entire site name as a keyword, and it is not as customizable as Chrome or Firefox.

I came across this extension that could be helpful.

I use the launcher app Alfred for this. It comes with a default search list and you can add your own custom searches.
