this is a banner day. I have six spam voice mails from 10AM-3PM today. I'm on sprint, not a single call actually came through. Meaning, my phone hasn't rung once. BUT, I check my phone and there's a voice mail. Six calls, six spam voicemails. Robo calls are out of control.

Apple really needs to improve their call blocking feature. At least allow it to block impossible phone numbers, unknown callers and foreign calls automatically.

I'd really love it if they added some of OOMA's features. Such as Nomorobo and a community blacklist.

Edit: I'd be just as happy if T-Mobile would implement this. Although something that works seamlessly through the phone app would be stellar.

Robokiller worked for me and then I switched to sprint. Don't know if its a coincidence or not.

I've disabled voicemail so this doesn't happen. They have equipment that goes straight to VM without the phone ever ringing.

I never knew that. That is messed up.
I read about this a few years ago. Basically when the call connects, the equipment sends a signal for the call to go to voicemail all within milliseconds. The lines are always listening for certain signals to come through and this is one of them.

That should be illegal.

Answered one earlier today. It was a human. I responded in an obscure dialect of a language I vaguely know. Was most enjoyable hearing the other person breakdown and cry-scream. Of course, this doesn't make me a dick.

time to change your phone#
change your # online and its 4free

I know your parents have kept the same phone number for years. No one remembers your phone number anymore, well other than your mother

yeah but won't the new one just get spam too? And so many doctors and businesses and friends have my number on file or saved in their phones...

sounds like your running for re election this year

a new number lasts about 1-2years
What do you mean by a new number lasts 1-2 years? Is that what people do nowadays, just keep getting new numbers? Is it because of spam or another reason?
