I just read on another thread that the 15" MBP is similar in size and footprint to the 13" MBA. Is that right?

I ordered a 13" MBP with TB, but think I'm going to return it because battery life is very important to me.

I was going to replace with a non-TB 13", but then heard that the 15" is pretty similar in size to a 2013 Macbook Air, which is what I have now.

Since the 15" battery life seems to be pretty decent (over 10 hours from what I've read, which is enough for me), I'm thinking about getting a 15" instead.

Anyone out there with a 2013 MBA and a new 15"?

hopfully in a few days :D have an Air 13 at home and the new 15" inch should arrive in the next days

Awesome. Please let me know.

Here are the specs on paper.

2013 MBA
Height: 0.11-0.68 inch (0.3-1.7 cm)
Width: 12.8 inches (32.5 cm)
Depth: 8.94 inches (22.7 cm)
Weight: 2.96 pounds (1.35 kg)

2016 MBP 15"
Height: 0.61 inch (1.55 cm)
Width: 13.75 inches (34.93 cm)
Depth: 9.48 inches (24.07 cm)
Weight: 4.02 pounds (1.83 kg)

The 15" is about the same in terms of dims, but 1) it is not tapered like the MBA, so it will feel thicker overall I think; and, 2) it is a full pound heavier.

This makes me lean toward the 13" non-TB version again.
