Stumbled on this very interesting interview with Steve Jobs from 1995 (when he was still at NeXT). Some very interesting comments that really explain what he's done in the last 5 years and continues to do:

"...I think the artistry is in having an insight into what one sees around them. Generally putting things together in a way no one else has before..."

"...the ability to innovate in the industry is being sucked dry..."

And interesting how he saw Apple's future:

"...The Macintosh will die in another few years and its really sad. The problem is this: no one at Apple has a clue as to how to create the next Macintosh..."

Well they solved that problem! They must have read that interview.
 
That's great about the Macintosh....you have to wonder if he ever expected to be running the show again there and if he was a bit sad in thinking that.
