This is not the problem! I mean REALLY????? lots of videos show users touching the tip of the seam with there finger not actually covering the whole antenna strip!
PROBLEM: ITS BARE STAINLESS STEAL and NEVER SHOULD BEEN!
No phone to date had a stainless antenna to make contact with because if you touch the thing signal will drop!
Yes the tape trick will work because your putting a shield from making yourself a connection with like a plastic shroud on a electrical socket!
So how they getting away with it?
showing you other phones being cupped with hole hand and this had been normal for years that the signal goes down doing that but not enough to drop calls!
If this antenna was behind plastic like the 3GS and 3G we would not have ANY posts about this! even iphone 1G had a plastic antenna panel! go figure!
