While most reports so far have agreed that the next iPhone SE will have a similar design as the standard iPhone 14 model, which has a notch for Face ID, a sketchy rumor now says that the device will instead feature the Dynamic Island.

iPhone SE with Dynamic Island mockup by @upintheozone

This latest claim comes from the leaker @MajinBuOfficial on X, formerly known as Twitter. In addition to the Dynamic Island, he said the next iPhone SE could have a vertical rear camera bump like the one rumored for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, but with one camera instead of two. Based on the information he shared, the rear microphone and LED flash would be positioned below the camera lens in a pill-shaped bump.

@MajinBuOfficial recently shared alleged iPhone 16 schematics that are believed to be accurate. However, he has a mixed track record with Apple rumors, and he cautioned that this iPhone SE information is still unconfirmed for now. In addition, Apple is likely prototyping multiple iPhone SE models, and it may not have finalized a design.

The next iPhone SE is expected to launch in 2025, around three years after the current model was released, but this timeframe could change.

It will be yet another “big” phone

What’s the point?

How would you like your Vanilla ice cream?
With vanilla or extra vanilla?
How about this other option with Vanilla max?

Whatever you pick you are gettin’ vanilla by golly

This might be my next phone. I've been using my cell less and less over the last couple of years, and I just can't get even remotely excited by smartphones, of any flavor, anymore.

That's if my 13 Pro needs replacing. So far, I can't find any reason to.

Naa...Apple doesn't even really announce the SE line. It just appears on their site with a media blurb.

They will absolutely say that with the 16.
Like a press release? Oh crap, I thought this product will come to be announce whenever they launch other products like iPads……

It would be nice if all the devices were consistent in design, and it would make sense for all iPhones to have Dynamic Island. To continue to develop a different layout for one device takes time and resources away from their new thing anyway.

About time Apple is bringing their “low cost” iPhone SE with full screen. Even Android phones half the price come with only a punch hole in their screens. Oh wait… that was rumored to be the top future of the to be released iPhone 16 pro max.

What’s even the point if it’s the same size as the regular???
To make a device that's a good balance between what the average consumer actually feels like they get good value/$ when forking over $429+ while Apple sees really good profit margins because the internals will be (largely) outdated or markedly lower spec'ed than the mid-tier and Pro iPhones?

I don't understand why some of you still don't grasp that the average consumer wants as big a display and battery as possible when buying a new smartphone? That "phablet" sized smartphones are the norm for smartphones now? Because the average person spends more and more time on their devices?

It's not a discussion of emotions, logic, or any of our preferences. It's a matter of sales numbers, numbers that didn't meet Apple's standards so they cut the mini.

iPhones mini are never coming back.
