Hello everybody,

I'm really curious do any of you use skin on your MacBook? I do want to keep it pristine for resale value but it does not protect against dents or any drops. Therefore paying $35-$45 for a total body skin I'm not sure if it's a good investment since I can just lower the price of resale to a $45 or so at the point of selling if there are scratches. I'm usually careful with my stuffs but I have had laptop with bottom scratches in the past.

What do you guys think and how do you protect your MacBook? Or you just use it as it.

I have a sleeve, no skin, and the MBP goes on top of the soft sleeve rather than straight on a hard surface most of the time. After 3 years I do have light scratches on the bottom and other bits of wear where my palms rest and have rubbed the aluminium edges after daily heavy use and LOTS of travel.

At the end of the day light scratches and marks will happen if you’re using the machine daily and taking it places regularly. Most used MBPs over a year old have light scratching. People generally just don’t want dents and chips!
