Xtreme skins cost less then $10 for the back skin. They are also running a 20% off sale right now. The nice thing about the XtremeSkins clear matte is a wet install.

I ordered a skin from them on December 3rd and have yet to see anything.
There shouldn’t be any problems with that. Although, depending on how tightly your case fits the phone, you may want to ease the phone back into the case after the install so that the sides won’t lift. With previous iPhone models, I’ve only used the back skin with a case.
