I'm looking for an expensive skin to protect the bottom of my iphone 5s. I'm using the 12 South dock and I just want to make sure the port are does not get scratched when docking.

If it's a clear full body skin that's fine, i'm just going to use the bottom piece.

The part of that dock that contacts the phone is plastic. Unless you're worried about the actual dock connector scratching your port.

the bottom area where the mic and speaker is... unless you put the lightning cable in perfectly over time you'll see fine scratch marks. didn't notice it on my old 5 black, but with the gold 5s fine scratches show up more

None of these are long term options. They peel and get dirt/lint around the edges. Use a case.
