Skins and drop protection

I never viewed skins/wraps as providing drop protection. Personally, I installed Clear Coat skins on my iphone 5 for scratch protection. I stumbled upon a Wrapsol YouTube video, in which they drop an iphone from 6 feet without damage. Does anyone know how wrapsol achieved this, and do the other skins provide similar protection? Thanks
