Skinz for the back ?

Went to buy skin for the Iphone 5, told by the seller that it is not recommended cause the gap between glass and metal causes bubbles.

Can anyone who uses the back skins reply pls?

The white phone shows less 'air gap' for some reason I think, compared to the black one.
